The Social Enterprise Institute Leadership Forum offers leaders of philanthropic organizations a unique opportunity to explore issues and learn in a non-competitive environment with a group of fellow social entrepreneurs who support each other in creating financial sustainability in their respective organizations. The strength of the Leadership Forum lies in its participants whose collective passion, experience, and desire for personal growth form a network of peers to help each other in improving their organizational effectiveness and leadership skills.

Forums provide ongoing professional leadership development, facilitated sharing of best practices and access to a brain trust incorporating some of the best, most current thinking on social enterprise issues. The leaders meet monthly for a candid exchange of ideas and direct, honest feedback. Forums also feature expert speakers who share the latest social enterprise strategies and perspectives.

The Leadership Forum is comprised of regional groups of 12-15 social sector executives and 2-5 entrepreneurs from the private sector who share a passion for fulfilling social missions and financial self-sufficiency. They meet once a month for 4 hours, usually in the morning, at member locations, hosted on a rotating basis. The host member provides a tour of their facility and a presentation on their organization. As of September 2006, the membership fee for one year is a minimum of $1200 per organization. Dues for membership in the Social Enterprise Institute are indexed to your organization’s revenues.
